A little about Dave Mapston and the reason we hold the race every year here at Hank Perry Raceway.

Dave’s love for the sport took him racing all over the Northwest. Dave was a great mentor introducing many young people to the sport. He would teach them how to repair their RC’s, in many cases he would even gift them parts when they did not have the money to purchase them. Many of these youngsters are now grown and racing with us today.

In January of 2001, Dave was tragically taken from us much too soon. We remember him for the friend he was to everyone, and honor him as the ambassador and mentor he was for this great sport and the RC community.

A generous portion of the net proceeds are donated in Dave’s name to a charity of his family’s choosing.

We know this year has had a lot of opportunities to run in many different races and series, Help us finish this season with a great race and an even greater cause. Bring your camper and spend a few days at the park in Spokane Valley.

We all know that Justin Wilde brings one of the best programs in the Northwest and are happy that he has chosen to help us with this fundraising event.

This year’s track builders at the Hank are 2nd to none, Dustin Denton and Matt Dortmund always bring a fun and challenging racecourse to enjoy.

Please sign up early so we can plan a great event for all and raise the most we can for this cause. Some of the classes are in honor of those that Dave enjoyed racing, so bring out those Stadium Trucks and Gas Trucks. Show off your new paint and race under the lights. The Hank Perry Raceway always has some history and stories to be heard if you listen closely.
