Club Racing GUIDES
The following is a list of informational guides to help you understand club racing.
Turn marshal duties are an important part of a race event. Turn marshals are comprised of the drivers from a given race. At the end of the drivers designated race, the group of drivers on the stand will proceed to the track and take up a position on one of the designated turn marshal positions for the next group of drivers.
Transponders are used as part of the lap counting system. Each vehicle will have either a house transponder or a personal transponder mounted in their vehicle. This transponder emits a signal that, when the vehicle crosses a loop wire buried near the beginning of the straight, is sent to a decoder in the RD booth that translates the signal into a completed lap time and assigns that lap time to the driver via the computer timing software.
